Getting Acquainted

Aloha! My name is Kathy Mahone, the owner and operator of Aloha Cakery. I have been baking and designing cakes since 1992.

I was born and raised in Kailua, and my love for cake decorating began at a young age, during which time I became the one to whom family and friends turned for that "special cake".

~

My husband Shawn and I and our five children relocated to Maryland in 1999 where I further developed my skills in confectionary arts. I taught Wilton classes for four years, and later worked with "Fancy Cakes by Leslie" - a renowned cake artisan in the Washington D.C., Northern Virginia and Maryland area.

In 2007, we relocated back to the Islands, and I am happy to offer my services here as "Aloha Cakery, L.L.C.".

Cakes are often a very important centerpiece of those special milestone events in life. I specialize in providing cakes for those occasions because I consider it a privilege and a joy to work with people in these very special moments.
